Based in Wrexham, AST Plastic Containers, a leading manufacturer of plastic packaging solutions, is committed to innovation and excellence. To reflect these values in their work environment, they hired Spectrum to design and create a workplace that would enhance functionality, foster collaboration, and make a modern, inspiring space for employees and visitors alike.
The project focused on critical areas, including a breakout area, kitchen, boardroom, single office, reception, washrooms, additional storage, new doors, flooring, and electrical/IT upgrades. These transformations were designed to create a dynamic, inviting, and highly efficient workspace, elevating functionality and atmosphere to inspire productivity and improve employee comfort.
Breakout Area: The breakout area was designed as a multi-functional space for relaxation and collaboration. This area has comfortable seating and modern, minimalist décor and promotes employee well-being and a calming atmosphere during downtime.
Kitchen: A high-end German Kitchen with new appliances and an open layout encourages staff to interact and enjoy meals during their breaks. The design enhances functionality with its clean, efficient layout, providing a welcoming space for employees to enjoy during their breaks.
Boardroom: The boardroom was upgraded with new flooring, improved lighting, and stylish furniture, providing a professional space for high-level meetings and presentations. This room now reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and collaboration.
Single Office: A private, single office was created to offer a quiet, focused workspace for individual tasks or meetings. Equipped with ergonomic furniture, modern technology and an integrated storage system, this office provides a productive and organised environment for concentrated work or private discussions.
Reception Area: The new reception area was designed to create positive first impression for visitors, featuring contemporary furniture, efficient lighting, and a welcoming atmosphere. Slat walls and biophilia accents, arranged in the shape of the company’s logo, add a natural touch while reinforcing the brand identity.
Washrooms: The refurbished washrooms now feature modern fixtures and improved hygiene solutions, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. These upgrades ensure a consistently clean and pleasant experience for both employees and visitors.
