Project
Office and training facility refurbishment
Timeline
8 weeks
(original programme: 10 weeks)
The Brief
OP Mobility (major parts supplier for Jaguar Land Rover) required a refurbishment of their office and training facilities to create a modern, compliant workspace that supported both operational efficiency and staff wellbeing.
The Spectrum Interiors Approach
The project order was placed in mid-December, enabling Spectrum Interiors to complete procurement before the Christmas break and mobilise immediately after the holidays, with the project starting on 5–6 January.
Our approach focused on:
- Early procurement planning to avoid post-holiday supply delays
- Efficient project sequencing
- Fast installation methods to minimise operational disruption
- Close communication with the client procurement team
During delivery, the project scope also expanded to include preparation works for a new lift installation, an additional requirement not included in the original brief.
Spectrum Interiors integrated the additional works seamlessly while still maintaining programme acceleration.
The Result
Despite the expanded scope and reduced programme, Spectrum Interiors completed the refurbishment in just 8 weeks, two weeks ahead of the original schedule and within the revised deadline.
Key outcomes included:
- Delivery 10 days earlier than the accelerated programme required
- Additional infrastructure preparation for a future lift installation
- Increased overall project value through expanded scope
- Minimal disruption to ongoing operations
The finished space now provides modern office and training environments designed for productivity, collaboration and staff wellbeing.
