Ricoh, Telford

Ricoh, a leading provider of digital services and solutions, sought to elevate the restroom facilities to reflect their commitment to excellence and provide employees and visitors with a modern and comfortable environment, aligning with their dedication to delivering innovative and high-quality services across various industries.

Scope of the Project

The refurbishment project at Ricoh’s site encompassed a wide range of improvements to transform the existing washrooms into contemporary, efficient, and inviting spaces. The scope of work included:

  1. Tiled Walls: The outdated wall coverings were replaced with durable and aesthetically pleasing tiles. Careful consideration was given to selecting tiles that would not only enhance the visual appeal but also withstand the rigors of daily use and maintenance.
  2. Vinyl Flooring: To ensure safety, comfort, and ease of maintenance, the existing flooring was upgraded to high-quality vinyl. This resilient flooring solution offers excellent durability, slip resistance, and a seamless finish that complements the overall design scheme.
  3. New Ceiling, Lighting, and Extraction: Outdated ceiling panels were upgraded to modern alternatives, while energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures were installed to improve illumination levels and reduce operational costs. Additionally, enhanced extraction systems were implemented to maintain optimal air quality and mitigate moisture buildup.
  4. New Cubicles, IPS and Vanity Units: To maximise space utilisation and improve privacy, new cubicles featuring contemporary designs were installed. IPS and vanity units were also upgraded to provide convenient access to essential amenities and promote efficient use of resources.
  5. New Sanitaryware with Sensor Technology: In line with advancements in hygiene and technology, the washrooms were equipped with new sanitaryware featuring sensor-operated flush mechanisms and taps. This touchless functionality not only minimises the risk of cross-contamination but also enhances user convenience and water efficiency.
  6. New Doors and Frames: To enhance security, aesthetics, and functionality, existing doors and frames were replaced with modern alternatives designed to withstand heavy usage and provide smooth operation.
  7. Accessories: The refurbishment included the installation of new hand dryers and mirrors to complement the overall design aesthetic and improve user comfort and convenience.

The renovation of washroom facilities at Ricoh’s Telford site stands as a testament to the company’s proactive approach to facility management and customer experience. By investing in modernisation and innovation, Ricoh has not only improved the functionality and aesthetics of its washrooms but also demonstrated its commitment to meeting the evolving needs and expectations of its stakeholders. The project serves as a model for organisations seeking to enhance their facilities while prioritising sustainability, efficiency, and user satisfaction.
