One of the widely recognised local educators who we have had the pleasure of working with was the Mold Alun School in Flintshire, North Wales. Here we were tasked with creating two sets of male and female washrooms in addition to a staff bathroom facility.

Working in conjunction with the school, we produced washrooms with a ‘unisex’ approach where hand washing facilities were shared between both genders but privacy was provided by separate toilet cubicles. This approach has been shown to reduce instances of bullying in schools and has become a far more popular school washroom design approach in recent years.
